The people who make Roaming Roast what it is.
OUR BEGINNING
Roaming Roast started with a leap of faith and a lot of nerve.
Charlie spent years working in IT, but something was missing. He wanted to work outdoors, talk to people, and build something.
So, in the summer of 2024 with his wife Abbi by his side, Roaming Roast was born. No grand plan and no coffee industry background beyond a decent home espresso. Just two people, one distinct blue van, and a belief that Borehamwood deserved speciality coffee.
From those first nervy cappuccinos to serving events with over 5,000 people, the journey has been fast, full and genuinely humbling. The fleet has grown from one van to three, the team from two people to six, and somewhere along the way, we’ve served more than 50,000 drinks.
It’s still the same idea today: great coffee, genuine conversations and a warm welcome wherever the van parks.
